Monsters In My Bed

Twice the Fun
Kaboodle
Twice the Fun by mystic2awesome

Monsters in my Bed at night, not a Vampire but a dust mite. I never made this evil deal, they call me their most favorite meal. Feeding off skin and hair, I will not sleep tonight when there.

I just read that there are two million of these microscopic dust mite Vampires in my bed each night feeding off my skin cells and hair. No wonder I am an insomniac. I am allergic to dust mites (or is it the dust mite excretions, YUK) so I have a tendency to wash my bedding a lot and in between washings I sometimes throw them into the dryer and roast a few dust mites. I have a plastic cover over my mattress so they too will have a hard time sleeping. There are certain acrylic fabrics which hold chemicals that keep your skin from flaking off thereby starving the mites but who knows what evil lurks there!

ODDities From the DARK SIDE of my OOAK mind by gothB4play on Etsy

Should Halloween be celebrated on the last Saturday of October to make things easier for school kids, Mommies and Mummies? My little goth girl saying Hi to the Halloween Holiday of October 31st or is she saying bye bye. I personally think it should be celebrated on the last Saturday of each and every month but that's just me. This piece is from my other etsy shop, gothb4play.

Fertility Charm

At Samhain (October 31) it's the time of farewell to the sunny days and a welcome to time of rest before the world is reborn and once fertile again. A time of reflection and a chance to look back over your life and saying goodbye to those who have passed on. But do not dwell on those who are gone and linger over what could have been too long during this phase when the borders of physical and spiritual realities are vague because what will be is there waiting for us with promise and sunshine.

My newest edition to my shop is tiny little bottle sun catchers hanging on a chain with little polished rock chips, crystal beads, incantations and charms.

Silence

Silence is golden, just ask my husband and he'll tell you that when I've had a little too much caffeine. Usually I am the recluse of the family and can spend days without any human contact and still feel no need to seek it out. But, give me caffeine and I am off to the races and my chatter doesn't stop and I make up for a month's worth of yackity yak. The picture here is from the polyvore dot com site and you can follow it back to find out more about the artist. I thought it a very beautiful piece and wanted to share the site with anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

Sun Catcher bottle

Catch a little sun beam in a tiny bottle with crystal beads, polished rocks, blue glass, cobalt bead and an amethyst chip. Hanging from your rear view mirror or from a window and watch the pretty colors as the sun hit them. I used a mixture of sliver paint and clear sealer medium for the inside color and swirled the color first. Then added the amethyst chip for its power in aiding focus and clarity. The other colors were added according to a color psychology chart. There is honeysuckle scent and basil powder added for their protective properties.

This is the first one that I placed for sale at my etsy shop so look for more later.

Kacie Capri

Kacie Capri
Kacie Capri by mystic2awesome featuring circle jewelry

Named for one of my nieces who I think has the prettiest name (her initials are the same as her first name). This set is a child in the woods with the spirits of her ancestors watching over her. Some are happy to see her having so much fun but some think she is not spending her time as well as she should.

Halloween Fun

My skeletons and glow in the dark bugs are in my window surrounded by a dozen or so crystals, disco balls and assorted Sun Catchers. At the bottom you can see a reflection of my collection of crystal items that also catch any sun coming near my window. They reflect light and colorful rainbow prisms around my walls and ceiling. I also have year round Christmas lights outside that give out a little reflection in the dark. The humming birds seem to like it and buzz around them in warmer weather and the cats when about like to chase the reflections which hit the ground and bounce around. The crows and the squirrels just ignore them which amazes me I thought they would be a little more curious.

Inspirational sayings

"When you're up to your ears in alligators, it's too late to drain the swamp", I just read this one today am I the only person who has never heard of this quote before? It was in a book of inspirational sayings and was probably pretty common in Florida or somewhere alligators are found. In Kansas it would probably relate to cattle or rattlesnakes instead of alligators and something other than a swamp.

This is a photo of a Teardrop Sun Catcher, it was difficult getting a good photo and it was too long to get a good full shot so I put the end of one Sun Catcher at the top of the other to show a close up of both.

This is one of the two Sun Catchers I just created, something new that I wanted to make using recycled glass chandelier tear drops. And if you click on the link you will see some amazing artwork I came across while at Kaboodle today. OK, it's time for a Lucid Dream experience, good night all and sweet edited dreams to everyone.

Meretricious Moment

Meretricious Moment
Meretricious Moment by mystic2awesome on Polyvore.com

Just mix a little turquoise slashes and blots with pink bubbles, then just a touch of flame, and interesting figure and a few black tendrils. This is a collage I created at Polyvore just click on the link above and you can be creating collages in moments. I have a long way to go on learning the in's and out's of collage creating and Polyvore but it's such fun with all the great colors and items to choose from.

I chose the the color pink because it is supposed to signify love, friendship and harmony which should always be above the darkness in one's heart of hearts. The color turquoise is a good color to help one find the logic in situations where sometimes there seems to be no logic and that is why I try to always keep something turquoise near my bed to help me when I dream. The black at the bottom represents that which sends it's tendrils into our heart and being trying to tarnish what we have there with it's darkness and the figure is trying to stay above the darkness.
