Recycle, Reinvent in Glass

I just cannot make myself give over my used glass items to the recycle bin to be smashed to bits when there is a bit of beauty left to create with.  This frosted glass was once a part of a bath set from a Christmas long ago.  Ordinary household bleach will remove the oils that dull the glass frost and bring it back to it's full beauty, then I added a bit of clear resin dripping down it's sides so you can peek inside the jar to see the gemstones placed there.  This one has a beautiful glass Angel on the top to hold the magic inside and is waiting for someone to rescue it from my storage closet.

Summertime Fun

Silly Little Girl

This silly little girl could not decide what she wanted to be, so we went a little vintage elegance and spunky sci-fi.  She also stands on a base that is a wind up musical turn stand and she goes slowly around and around to a tune that I know is familiar but can't name.

Avon Lady

The Ea

The Ea, a Babylonian Goat-fish a symbol of regenerative powers of the world's living creatures.  I've never met one but I think it's going on my Bucket list.  But with no mystical fish I'll have to be content knowing that if not my body, my mind is enjoying the regenerative, energizing joy of creativity.  The mind can take you back into a past you were never born in and far, far into a future only you could envision.  That makes you Queen (or King) over all that surrounds you... in your own workspace at least, enjoy that!
